I wish I was making this shit up. Abridged version: applied eons ago to a job posting, no response, I forgot about it. Last week I get contacted with a sales pitch to come stage for Experience!!™ at a pub and I decided to give it a try. After a trek in the freezing cold with snow in my shoes, I get there only to be told,"LOL, No stage for you, we already hired someone!" Why the blue-balled hell did they bother to even contact me if they were going to waste my time and money like that? Oh, yeah they "tried" to call me at the last second(i.e. I was in the subway heading out there, no bars while yer underground) but that doesn't matter! The fact is, they contacted me wayyyy after I shot them a resume,(with a half-assed apology on an invite written with a ton of typos)and wanted to stage me for a full twelve hour shift where I'd have to walk home in the middle of the night in an unfamiliar neighborhood in the middle of winter. No pay of course and the position itself would only pay minimum wage and it was a part time gig. Yeah, no. Screw you, guys. Blacklisted. End of.  I'll take my frozen blue ass elsewhere, thank you.
